Investree’s is a crowdfunding platform where the business model is to connect prospective debt crowdfunding note Issuer with qualified investors. Investree’s role is to analyze credit risk of prospective Issuers and administer note issuance process from contract signing to payment facilitation. Debt Crowdfunding is a new financial instrument for business operators who are registered as a company to issue debt to a pool of qualified investors who are members of the crowdfunding platform that is licensed by the Securities Exchange Commission of Thailand. Such debt crowdfunding note will be advertised to Investree’s list of qualified investors. Investors who invest in the debt crowdfunding note will receive return in accordance with each Term of Rights stipulated for each debt crowdfunding note.

Bullet repayment is a type of debt crowdfunding note where there is only one repayment at maturity of the note. The maturity date of this type of note is aligned to the repayment date of for example a particular invoice or repayment schedule. Amortizing repayment is a type of debt crowdfunding note where the principal and interest is repaid in installments until maturity of the note. This is similar to commercial term loans where the principal and interest is paid down over time. Of importance is that debt crowdfunding note is a note where the return is not guaranteed, uncollateralized and without liquidity or secondary market. The offering period of each debt crowdfunding note is limited to a certain period of time as shown on the verified User’s dashboard. The offering period ends when (1) the issuance is fully subscribed, or total subscription of the issuance reaches 80% or more of total issuance amount in accordance with the rules announced by the Securities and Exchange Commission; or, (2) when the issuance period is met.

No, Investree is not a bank or a type of financial institution but is a crowdfunding platform under the supervision of the Securities Exchange Commission of Thailand. Crowdfunding platform acts as intermediary service that matches prospective debt crowdfunding note issue with qualified investors based on proprietary operating process and credit risk scoring. Unlike conventional intermediary services, Investree does not participate in actual financing and issuance activity, but provide the services necessary to facilitate the process of note issuance and investment.
